"Apple's iPhone 16 Series Set for Major Upgrades: 8GB RAM Across the Board and Faster Wi-Fi 6E, Analyst Predicts"
According to analyst Jeff Pu, there are indications that Apple might increase the RAM for its base iPhone 16 models this year. All iPhone 16 series, including the Pro versions, are expected to have 8GB RAM, a notable upgrade from the previous 6GB in the iPhone 15 series.
Additionally, the non-Pro iPhone 16 models will receive faster Wi-Fi 6E support, a feature already present in the iPhone 15 Pro models. For the iPhone 16 Pro models, it is rumored that Apple will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon X75 5G modem instead of the X70 used in the 2023 iPhone 15 series. However, the regular iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are likely to retain the older X70 modem.
