"Google Unveils Refreshing Mint Color for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro"
Introducing the Fresh Mint Color for Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro
Last week, Google offered a sneak peek into its upcoming addition to the Pixel family, the Pixel 8 Pro, with a tantalizing new colorway set to launch on January 25. The anticipation heightened as leaked press images surfaced, building excitement for the official reveal.
Finally, it's official! You can now purchase the Google Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro in the all-new Mint color, exclusively available on the Google online store and Google Fi in the US. According to Jenny Davis, CMF (Color, Material, and Finish) design manager at Google, Mint embodies a refreshing ambiance, reminiscent of a cool spring breeze. Described as serene yet vibrant, it invokes a sense of calmness with an underlying energy.
The Mint option joins the existing palette for the Pixel 8, which includes Rose, Obsidian, and Hazel, while for the Pixel 8 Pro, it complements the Porcelain, Obsidian, and Bay choices. Remarkably, the specifications remain unchanged, retaining the same features that have characterized the Pixel 8 series since its launch last October. The spotlight is solely on the new color, a collaborative creation with street artist Ricardo Gonzalez, known as @itsaliving.
In a unique promotional move, Gonzalez transformed a Google Pixel billboard in New York City with a captivating display of the Mint color, as showcased in the accompanying video.
To further entice users, Google offers a limited-time offer: purchase a Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro in Mint by February 3, 11:59 pm PT, and receive a complimentary case matching the new color scheme.
In summary, the introduction of Mint expands the aesthetic possibilities for Pixel enthusiasts, offering a blend of tranquility and vitality to complement their digital lifestyles.
