"Tech meets Health: Samsung's Galaxy Watch4, Watch5, and Watch6 Now Offer Blood Pressure and ECG Monitoring in India"

Certainly! In a recent development, Samsung has received approval from India's Central Drugs Standard Control Organization for enabling blood pressure and ECG measurement capabilities on its Galaxy Watch4, Watch5, and Watch6 models, including the Pro and Classic variants.

To make use of these features, users need to have the Samsung Health Monitor installed on both their Samsung watch and a compatible Samsung phone running Android 9.0 or later. However, there's a requirement for blood pressure measurements – users are mandated to calibrate their watches using an upper-arm, cuff-based blood pressure monitor, and recalibration is needed every 28 days based on its readings.

For the ECG feature, the process is less complex but still relies on having a Samsung phone. The scanning duration is approximately 30 seconds, during which users need to remain still. Additionally, users have the option to add symptoms to their ECG report if they are experiencing any. To review the ECG report, a separate app named ECG Monitor can be utilized on the Samsung phone. It's worth noting that these advancements in health monitoring bring new possibilities, although there are certain prerequisites and periodic calibration steps involved for accurate results.
