"The Chipset Choice: Samsung's Galaxy S24 to Sport Snapdragon in Some Regions, Exynos in Others"

Samsung plans to use two different types of chips for the Galaxy S24 and S24+ phones, depending on the region. In places like South Korea, the US, and China, these phones will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, while in other regions, they'll use Samsung's Exynos 2400 chip. The S24 Ultra will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip everywhere.
The Snapdragon and Exynos chips are quite similar, with both having advanced cores based on ARMv9 architecture. However, the Exynos chip has slightly lower speeds on all cores and includes two extra efficiency cores. The Exynos 2400 is made using Samsung Semiconductor's 4nm LPP+ process, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is manufactured using TSMC's N4P node.

In the past, phones with Snapdragon chips have generally shown better performance and battery life, but it's uncertain if this trend will continue with the S24 series.
